Our Kids Rights is the third track on Jamie Lee Patterson’s new EP A Search for a Sunny Day Project. Jamie wrote OKR during the bizarre US election campaign of 2016. The song was written in disbelief that such a ludicrous and dangerous candidate would get so close to holding the world’s highest office.
When the axe of reality came down in the early hours of November 9, 2016, the song took on a deeper meaning and became a personal call to action. Recorded by Dan Hosh at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton, Ontario on February 18th, 2017. Filmed by Abid Virani.
